Driver Updates

As we all know it's best if you keep your pc/laptop up to date with the latest driver releases to maintain functionality and reliability. To that end I'll post two links one for each major graphics manufacturer. If anyone would like help in the computer area then please don't hesitate to ask. I've been building pc's for over 10yrs now and so know a little about their upkeep...

Try a new operating system

Microsoft will soon be releasing their next operating system for computers called Windows 7. This is to replace Windows Vista which hasn't really caught the publics attention with many still using Windows XP.

You can try a 'beta' version for free in a few weeks time and I can totally vouch for the brilliance of this new operating system. I've been using it for a while now and just love using it.

More info can be found here:

Bogus virus scare

This morning I had someone phone me saying they from microsoft and I had a virus infection on my machine. He then asked me to open my 'temp' files which contained nothing so then he asked me to open my 'prefetch' files. The files it contained were viruses according to matey on the phone which I know from personal experience was a total lie!

It was all a scam to get me to go to his website... So if you get a call from these people

You know it's bogus!!!
